Refwatch: Peterboro v Dale
Friday, 13th Apr 2018 13:25 by TVOS

Dale will meet a new referee on Saturday when Antony Coggins takes charge of their League One game at Peterborough.

The Oxfordshire official is in his first season on the referees’ list and this will be the first time he has refereed a Rochdale game.

However, he has twice taken charge of Peterborough this term, firstly for their FA Cup second round replay win over Woking in December and then their Checkatrade Trophy tie at Luton a month later, which Posh won on penalties.

Antony’s first league appointment was Morecambe v Cheltenham on the opening day of this season and since then he has refereed entirely in the two basement divisions, as well as at a number of games in the FA Cup and Checkatrade Trophy.

His most recent appointment was Stevenage v Barnet on Easter Monday and all told, Mr Coggins has overseen 30 games this term, showing 70 yellow cards and four red.
