Dale will travel to Burton Albion on the opening day of the 2018-19 season after the fixtures were released.

General consensus amongst the supporters seems to be that fans are pretty happy with the fixture list, despite playing both the first and last game of the season away from home.

The first game sees us make a visit to Burton Albion - a ground that has seen us defeated every time we've been there. However, we have a return to normality with Peterborough being our first visitors to Spotland as they have been in three of the past four seasons.

The stand out games with Sunderland will see Dale visit the Stadium of Light on Saturday 22nd September, with them making their first ever visit* to Spotland on Saturday 6th April.

In a bizarre twist, the final day of the season sees Dale take on Charlton, whilst Oldham play Northampton - a repeat of that tense final day fixtures of last season albeit at opposite grounds.
