VVD 75 million Carrillo 19 million Tadic 15 million Armstrong 6 million Mane 35 million Boufal 16 million In fact read them all out like the football scores on the old saturday evenings. All player sales reinvested my backside...oh and the little matter of 120 million from SKY, oh and the commercial deals, shirt deals, merchandising oh and the ticket money....and no the owner is not here to invest his own money and no he is a private guy and you dare not ask questions.. Nick you do know how to step in dog pooo and convince yourself it's good for the leather.

Looks like Les and Co could still be in charge of transfers. I had hoped MH would have been having his say and we would have seen more exciting moves. Armstrong a squad player, Targett one to keep, Tadic difficult to replace especially after last night's performance.

to sidsaint.. perhaps it's a bit short-sighted to suggest that Les & Co. have "sidestepped NH " and made a signing that he doesn't approve of. (?) The idea of signing players is to help the manager improve the squad, and not to have involved Hughes in the process is silly. For everyone who has an opinion for/ against "The Black Box methodology", it would be naive to think that we are the only Prem.club to employ such systems, and indeed MH may well have scouted the player / or/ know of his history from his previous club(s).? We do not know if Hughes had his say ..or even said that he didn't want the player, but it would be stupid for the club to sign a player that the manager didn't rate. We may well see further transfer activity involving some of Mark Hughes' own " former favourites", but as we haven't actually signed anyone up until now, it would be wrong to suggest that anyone / everyone that we sign is against the manager's wishes.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Rochdale Polls |
