Pompey boss admits team aren't doing everything right
Thursday, 27th Sep 2018 22:20 by pompey-fans.com staff

Kenny Jackett says Pompey are working hard to go on improving even though they have started the season with a nine-match unbeaten run.

There's no resting on laurels at Fratton, especially after another home draw last week against Wycombe Wanderers.

The Blues have back to back away games now, with Rochdale their hosts on Satuday and Coventry on Tuesday.

Jackett told www.portsmouthfc.co.uk: 'We’re entering an intense period, with a lot of points to play for, and we’re looking for a good return. The league is obviously our priority, but we’ve got a cup game at Crawley in that time as well and we want as many wins as we can get.

'There are a lot of things we’re doing right at the moment, but also some aspects where we need to improve — we’ve been focusing on those this week. We’re looking to be a bit more cohesive and constructive in the middle third of the pitch. It’s about getting the balance right.

'It’s been easy for sides at times to make it a bit of a stop-start game and we want it to be more free-flowing.'

Dion Donohue and Andre Green remain the only two injured absentees in Jackett's squad.
