Refwatch: Dale v Doncaster
Thursday, 11th Oct 2018 21:48 by TVOS

Poulton-le-Fylde referee Scott Oldham will make his fifth Crown Oil Arena appearance in under a year when Dale entertain Doncaster on Saturday.

The self-employed joiner took charge of the 1-0 home defeat of Bristol Rovers last October, although on that occasion he was a late replacement for the injured Tom Nield.

Scott returned in March for the 1-1 draw with AFC Wimbledon and then three weeks later, he was an 11th hour replacement for Andy Haines in Dale’s thrilling, but ultimately frustrating 3-3 draw with Portsmouth.

Just over a month ago, Mr Oldham was back in Rochdale as the fourth official at the Checkatrade Trophy tie against bury.

The 36-year-old is in his second season on the National List and after a busy first campaign, he has only recently returned to action this season.

His first game was Carlisle v Stevenage a fortnight ago, which was followed by Fleetwood v Wycombe and bury v Mansfield.

Those three games yielded ten yellow cards and seven minutes of injury time at Gigg Lane last Saturday, in which The Shakers found a second equaliser!
