Paddy calls time on career
Saturday, 3rd Nov 2018 10:55 by Col

Former Dale great Paddy McCourt has retired from football seventeen years after making his Dale debut.

His final game came on Friday night when he helped his side Finn Harps to promotion with a 2-0 second leg victory over Limerick. They had previously won the first leg 1-0 with Paddy scoring the winner.

His Dale debut came back in October 2001 when he was a late sub against Southport in the then equivalent of the Checkatrade Trophy replacing Kevin Townson. His time with Dale has become something of a legend over the years, with fans reminiscing over his talents and skills.
