The transfer of the Summer kicked in with the sale of highly rated Daniel Adshead to Norwich for an undisclosed fee.

The England Youth International has left the bright lights of Spotland for the equally bright lights of the Premier League by signing for last season's Championship winners Norwich City.

The fee, as ever these days, has gone down as undisclosed but an initial fee of £300,000 has been mentioned on Twitter. It will be safe to assume that the deal will be fully loaded with add ons in the way that the Scott Hogan has continued to benefit Dale until this Summer.

Norwich have announced that he will move to their U23 team which is to be expected given they'll be playing in the Premier League next season.

Adshead leaves Spotland with eleven league appearances amongst a total of 25 appearances for the first team. His solitary goal came in the Checkatrade Trophy against League Two Oldham last season.
