TVOS: Dale v Blackpool
Saturday, 24th Aug 2019 11:00

Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme — The Voice of Spotland — is back for Saturday’s League One fixture against Blackpool.

The programme is once again a 76-page issue this season, containing plenty of reading to keep fans entertained and informed before, during and after the match.

Our new-look programme starts with a front cover image of on loan striker Rekeil Pyke, who netted his first goal for the club against Bolton in the Carabao Cup.

Manager Brian Barry-Murphy brings us his thoughts on the game against Sunderland on Tuesday and looks ahead to the encounter with league leaders, Blackpool.

After that the programme is packed with new features, including:

MY TEAM-MATES — Ian Henderson spills the beans on his pals in the Dale squad

THINK OF A NUMBER — looking at facts, figures and connections between Dale and Blackpool

COLOURFUL MEMORIES — recalling three previous games against Blackpool from the perspective of the kits worn

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO? — a wistful feature looking at things that have disappeared from the game

ROOM 101 — Ollie Rathbone reveals the things that annoy him

BACK OF THE NET — a whole-season article focusing on the exploits of Dale’s top 25 goalscorers of all-time

We have a new-look visitors’ section, as well as an exclusive interview with former Dale midfielder Peter Ward.

Most former contributors have returned for another season, while our regular historical pages — ‘On This Day’ and ‘Through The Years’ — have had a makeover and an extension that will help readers to jog their Dale memory banks.

Meanwhile, action photos appear from the pre-season game against Hyde and the opening day visit to Tranmere.

All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
