Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme – The Voice of Spotland – is back for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup tie against Newcastle United.

The programme starts with front cover images of the opposing managers, Brian Barry-Murphy and Steve Bruce, as well as the famous trophy up for grabs at Wembley Stadium in May.

BBM previews the game and discusses how exciting it is for him and everyone associated with the club to be welcoming such a famous name in Newcastle United to the Crown Oil Arena.

After that the programme is packed with features, including:

DALE IN THE FA CUP THIRD ROUND – A comprehensive look at all of Dale’s ties at this stage of the FA Cup

NEWCASTLE UNITED LINKS – Players and managers who have spent time with both clubs

CLASSIC KITS – A review of some of Newcastle’s best kits from down the years

BACK OF THE NET – A whole-season article focusing on the exploits of Dale’s top 25 goalscorers of all-time, this time with 1920s forward Bobby Hughes

QUIZ OF THE YEAR 2019 – What can you remember about Dale in the year just ended?

Traveller’s Tales reports on the trip to Coventry and we have action photos from the games at home to Ipswich and away at Wrexham.

Our regular historical pages – ‘On This Day’ and ‘Through The Years’ – will help readers to jog their Dale memory banks, while regular contributors Scrutator, Brian Quigley, Steven Rittey and John Rowe are back with their thought-provoking and informative columns.

Visitors Newcastle United receive extensive coverage, with detailed profiles of their playing squad and a look at their form over the season.

All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
