Refwatch: Peterborough United v Rochdale
Friday, 11th Dec 2020 15:00 by TVOS

Having refereed Cambridge v Oldham last Saturday, Brett Huxtable will again make the long trip from Devon to the Fens for a geographical repeat when he takes charge of Peterborough v Dale this weekend.

Mr Huxtable is in his fifth season on the referees’ list and our only previous meetings with him both ended in comprehensive defeats for Dale.

In March 2017, Brett was in charge of a midweek game at AFC Wimbledon where Dale lost 3-1 and had Keith Keane sent-off.

Huxtable’s next Dale appointment was at Wycombe in October 2019, where a poor performance saw Keith Hill’s men go down to a 3-0 defeat.

Saturday’s opponents, Peterborough, have already met Brett this term as he refereed their 2-0 local derby win at Northampton in October.

That is one of his 15 matches in 2020/21, those games yielding 56 yellow cards and, so far, no reds.
