Stats Magic: Fleetwood Town v Rochdale
Friday, 9th Apr 2021 15:00 by TVOS

Rochdale make the short journey over to the west coast to take on Fleetwood Town. TVOS has the stats ahead of the match.

* Saturday will be the 18th league game between Dale and Fleetwood Town and the ninth at Highbury Stadium

* Dale have won one of the previous eight away matches, losing twice and drawing five times

* Our only league away win over The Cod Army came in our first visit there in April 2013 when goals from Ian Henderson, George Donnelly and Jason Kennedy clinched a 3-0 success

* That 3-0 win is our best against Fleetwood home or away in league football

* We have since played seven league games away to Town without success…

* …but we did win 2-0 there in the Checkatrade Trophy in October 2018

* Dale have conceded two goals in each of their last three league visits to Highbury Stadium

* Our 2-1 home defeat of Fleetwood back in October ended a run of seven games without a win against The Cod Army

* Dale are the only team Fleetwood have faced in every season since they were promoted to the Football League in 2012

* Ian Henderson missed two penalties for Dale versus The Cod Army, one in a 2-0 home defeat in December 2014 and the other in injury time of a 1-1 draw at Highbury nine months later

* The most common scoreline in the previous 17 meetings between Dale and Town is 2-1, which has been achieved twice by each side

* Dale travel to Highbury on Saturday looking to complete their first league double over Fleetwood, who have accomplished that feat twice

* Dale’s leading appearance-maker against Fleetwood is Ian Henderson with 14 games

* In the current squad, Matt Done (10) has made most appearances for Dale versus The Cod Army

* Dale’s top scorer against Town, with five goals, is Ian Henderson

LAST VISIT

A late headed goal from Ched Evans condemned Dale to a 2-1 defeat when they were last at Highbury Stadium in September 2019.

Rekeil Pyke opened the scoring to give Dale an eighth minute lead, but that was cancelled out midway through the first half by Danny Andrew.
