Sussex referee Carl Brook will take charge of Dale’s crucial game at AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday.

The 44-year-old, who has been a referee for 30 years, was promoted to the National List for this season and his first League One fixture was Dale’s 2-1 win at Shrewsbury in October.

Before that, Carl’s first appointment at EFL level was in the EFL Trophy when AFC Wimbledon entertained Charlton on 1st September, although that game took place at Kingsmeadow rather than The Dons’ new Plough Lane home.

On Saturday, Mr Brook was due to referee Gillingham v Northampton, which would have been his 27th appointment of the campaign.

The previous 26 games had produced 90 yellow cards and three red.
