Robbie Stockdale has finally made his first signing as Dale manager and Dale have finally made their first signing of the summer!

A frustrating lack of much needed signings has left fans a little bit worried but new Rochdale boss Robbie Stockdale has finally been able to make his first signing by bringing in Sheffield United centre back Sam Graham.

The 20 year old arrives at Spotland on a two-year deal and comes as a free transfer but with add-on's included for the Blades.

Graham came through the youth ranks at Bramall Lane but failed to make an appearance for the Blades but has had several loan spells at other clubs. He joined Halifax Town on loan in 2018 and made 7 appearances for the Shaymen before joining Oldham Athletic on loan the following season. He struggled to make a big impact at Boundary Park but did make 9 appearances in a 6-month loan spell. In January 2019 he went down under and joined the Central Coast Mariners on loan. He's since had two loan spells with Notts County where he made 12 appearances.
