Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme — The Voice of Spotland — is back for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Tranmere Rovers.

The programme took a break during the behind closed doors 2020/21 campaign, but has returned this season with 76 jam-packed pages to keep readers completely informed and entertained.

The new-look TVOS starts with a front cover image of Dale midfielder Stephen Dooley, who has played a crucial role in the team’s recent good run of form.

Manager Robbie Stockdale reviews last weekend’s win at Port Vale and pays a special tribute to the 486 fans who made the trip to Vale Park.

After that we have a host of features, including:

SHIRT NUMBERS, HEAVEN & HELL — A feature looking at players who did and some who didn’t look right in shirt number 5

COVER STAR — Looking at when a former Dale player appeared on the front cover of another club’s programme. This time it’s Joe Thompson.

WE’VE GOT HISTORY — A detailed look at the 124 previous meetings between Dale and Tranmere.

NOT HIM AGAIN — Which players have played and scored most often in this fixture?

MY BEST OPPONENT — Who is the best player Aaron Morley has faced?

100 YEARS IN THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE — Part 2 of a comprehensive feature looking back at Dale’s debut season in the Football League 100 years ago.

We have our regular League Two round-up and opinion columns from the John Rowe, Brian Quigley and, of course, Scrutator.

Action photos appear from the games against Scunthorpe and Forest Green, while Ryan Bradley and Siobhan McElhinney bring readers their news from the Rochdale AFC Community Trust.

All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
