Broadbent loan extended until May Thursday, 6th Jan 2022 16:29 by AtThePeake Midfielder George Broadbent has extended his loan stay at Spotland until the end of the season. Dale's first bit of transfer business in this January window was concluded on Thursday with the news that George Broadbent's loan deal at the club had been extended until the end of the League Two campaign. The 21 year old has featured 15 times in all competitions so far for Dale, but only seven of those appearances have been as part of the starting eleven and three of those seven have come in the EFL Trophy. He has found the net once, scoring in the 2-2 away draw with Swindon Town back in October, but given that he's been something of a fringe player so far, it is perhaps surprising to see his loan extended until the end of the campaign. Broadbent's contract with his parent club, Sheffield United, is set to expire this summer. Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
