Dale set to lose key players?
Saturday, 8th Jan 2022 17:02 by Chaff

Dale look set to lose top scorer Jake Beesley and central midfield Aaron Morley as Robbie Stockdale admitted that we've accepted bids for two players.

The Dale boss was asked about his teamsheet for the postponed match at Colchester and the fact it was missing a number of key players. Stockdale admitted that goalkeeper Joel Coleman was missing due to Covid but then said that we'd accepted good bids for the other two missing and although we do have injuries, the two main players missing from the teamsheet were Jake Beesley and Aaron Morley.

It's been widely rumoured for a few days that Jake Beesley was wanted by Championship Blackpool with one of the usual journalistic suspects on Twitter tweeted that Blackpool were interested in Bees with a bid in the range of £300,000 - £400,000. The 25-year-old has 12 goals in 26 this season for the Dale and was the EFL League Two Player of the Month for December.

Aaron Morley on the other hand, not much has been said about the Dale midfielder but an article appeared that linked him with a move to Radio Manchester's favourite club Bolton Wanderers.

Various online sources have linked Dale with a couple of players already in Luke Charman from Darlington and Niall Maher from Halifax. We also have the Corey O'Keeffe saga to conclude one way or another yet so it looks like it's going to be an extremely busy January transfer window.
