It's not taken long for Dale to be linked with players this summer with the first named rumour coming in the form of Doncaster forward Jordy Hiwula.

Let it be said, we aren't going to be posting every rumour that Twitter accounts like EFL Hub post but the more reputable ones I think are fair game. Well, this one today has come from journalist Alan Nixon which would make you think there could be something in it.

Hiwula, 27, came through the ranks at Manchester City and had a very succesful loan spell at Walsall, scoring 9 in 17 starts before leaving City to join Huddersfield Town. More loan spells followed, impressive ones at that at Wigan, Walsall, Bradford and Fleetwood. He joined Coventry in 2018 and scored an impressive 17 goals in 61 games. He's struggled to make much of an impact in the past couple of years at Portsmouth, and this season at Doncaster but Rochdale do like trying to fix broken toys and this may be one of those.
