Former Doncaster Defender Joins Dale
Tuesday, 28th Jun 2022 08:55 by Chaff

Robbie Stockdale has made his 5th summer signing in the form of former Doncaster centre-back Cameron John.

On paper, this looks like a hell of a signing but Dale fans will be hoping the defender can stay injury free having missed much of last season due to a fracture in his back.

The 22-year-old joins Dale on a 2-year deal and alongside Ethan Ebanks-Landell, will hope to be a mainstay in a new look Dale defence.

Cameron started his career at Wolverhampton Wanderers, much like Ebanks-Landell who will have been there at the same time. He played three times for Wolves in the EFL Trophy but went on loan to Doncaster in August 2019. His loan spell was a successful one, playing 21 games and scoring 3 times. Doncaster made the move a permanent one a year later, joining for an undisclosed fee. He played 38 times in the 2020/21 season but injury limited him to just 7 appearances last season.

Welcome to the club Cameron.
