Rochdale have added to their attacking options by bringing in Fleetwood Town winger Cian Hayes on a one-month loan.

Safe to say that with Dale still being with Devante Rodney, and letting Moe Shubbar leave the club, we’ve been in desperate need for another forward player. Just a shame, this deal is only a month long one.

The 20-year-old winger is a rather eye-opening signing for me as he’s made 80 appearances for the Cod Army since 2019 in all competitions. He made 45 appearances last season, although the majority were from the bench. He got sent off in Fleetwood’s stoppage time FA Cup defeat to Burnley in what was a controversial decision.

Hayes has even made 6 appearances this season, 5 in League One and the other being in a 3-2 Carabao Cup defeat to Port Vale, in which he scored a beauty from around 18 yards which you can see in the tweet below.

The winger had a loan spell at FC United back in 2021, scoring twice in 4 games.

He has also represented Ireland Under 19’s.
