A statement from the club suggests the "imminent" takeover is now off.

The club released the above statement on Monday afternoon after days of heavy speculation which stemmed from a company and three individuals registered their address as the Crown Oil Arena.

The statement seems to point blame at supporter speculation but the fact the "investors" would pull out due to scrutiny is, in itself, a huge reg flag to me.

It certainly seems like the call for investment is approaching, if not already reach the desperation stage which asks questions of the clubs future. As frightening as that sounds.
