Dale’s home game against Yeovil Town on Saturday will be refereed by JAMIE O’CONNOR.

This will be the Chesterfield official’s fifth Dale game since relegation to the National League and the second at Spotland, the most recent being our 5-1 win over Hartlepool United towards the end of last season.

Jamie was previously in the middle for Dale’s 2-0 defeat at Solihull Moors at the start of October 2023 and then the 3-2 loss at Wealdstone six weeks later.

He also refereed our FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie at AFC Fylde just over a year ago.

Mr O’Connor received a mid-season promotion to the National League in 2022/23 and went on to referee six fifth tier fixtures in the remainder of that campaign, as well as another 17 in 2023/24.

Last term saw him officiate 23 games across the National League, League One, League Two, while he has overseen ten games at the same levels this season.

However, Jamie’s last appointment was the FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie between Altrincham and Harborough Town last weekend.
