Dale’s trip to Solihull Moors on Wednesday night will be refereed by the superbly named ALAN DALE.

No, he’s not the bloke who played Jim Robinson in Neighbours, but an Ipswich-based official who has been refereeing in the National League since 2017/18.

This will be Alan’s third Dale match after he refereed our visits to Yeovil (won 1-0) and Dagenham&Redbridge (lost 1-0) last season.

This term has seen him officiate only five times in the National League to date, most recently at Southend v Sutton over the Christmas and New Year period.

Those five matches have seen Alan produce 24 yellow cards and one red card.
