Rochdale have completed the signing of winger Cian Hayes, bringing him back to home to Spotland on a three-year deal!

The 22-year-old returns after an impressive loan spell during the 2023/24 season, when he became a fans' favourite thanks to his pace, direct running and attacking flair. Hayes made 24 appearances in all competitions during that spell, scoring five goals and providing six assists before returning to his parent club.

After leaving Fleetwood Town, Hayes joined Peterborough United in the summer of 2024. He spent last season in League One, making 20 appearances and scoring twice before being made available for transfer at the end of the campaign.

His return should hopefully now spark Rochdale's summer recruitment for our return to the EFL.
