Leeds at full strength tonight
Leeds at full strength tonight

Leeds have no new injuries for tonight’s second leg, but Millwall have one or two problems to resolve.

Simon Grayson hasn’t yet given any indications as to his starting line-up, but as we have to win, he might be tempted to start with Robinson to try to stretch the Millwall defence with two specialist wingers.  Sam Sodje has recovered from the shoulder injury he suffered on Saturday, so Rui will again be on the bench.

But Grayson did tell the official site how pleased he is with the progress the team have made since he took the job in December. "We've come a long way since Boxing Day. Our confidence levels are high and where we want to be. Did I think we'd get this far? Maybe not, but now we've got to produce one more performance over 90 minutes to get where I wanted to be when we came though the door. It's been a fantastic achievement from the players because they've had their critics from outside.  They've stuck together as a group, they've responded, and now we're looking to produce something."

The Leeds crowd will obviously have a big part to play tonight, while Millwall have failed to sell their reduced allocation of 1,000 tickets. That might be due to the restrictions they’ve faced, having to collect their tickets from a motorway service station rather than being able to travel freely, which have no doubt led some fans to think that they might as well stay at home and watch the match on Sky. Meanwhile Grayson expects every Leeds fan to do his or her duty.

"I'm not sure I need to ask the fans to raise the atmosphere because they are superb anyway and won't need asking! These are the sort of nights you thrive on, and we can't wait. I'd rather have 37,000 people with us than against us, that's for sure. It won't win the game for us, but it will help us. That's for sure. The players will thrive on the atmosphere and they want to produce a performance for those fans because they have been fantastic.”

Millwall will be missing Jason Price, who limped out of Saturday’s first leg in the opening stages, and his fellow striker Gary Alexander is also doubtful, after picking up a virus. This means that Millwall’s all-time leading scorer Neil Harris is certain to start, fresh from scoring the only goal of the first leg. And although ‘Wall will only have a very narrow lead to protect, their manager Kenny Jacket has promised to adopt a positive approach.

He told the Yorkshire Post "You cannot sit and hold on for 95 minutes. We have to play well, defend well and keep the ball, give them problems and try to score goals. If you go up there with a negative mindset, it'll be a long night. Jermaine Beckford will be key. Our two centre-halves played very well against him on Saturday, and they'll have to do that again."

So, what should I predict tonight? I think Leeds have more to offer than we showed on Saturday, and with our excellent home record I think we will win by 3 goals to nil.
