It might be NPower rather than Coca Cola now, but the Fixtures for 2010-11 for League One are released at around 10am this morning.

The waiting will be over and it will be time to start making plans for this next season. Today perhaps more than any other day will see the realisation that we won't be participating in the Rochdale division any more, and we will be competing in League One.

The expected key fixtures will be against those sides who have spent time in the Premiership but have since fallen from grace for a number of reasons. No doubt, we'll read plenty of times how certain clubs were playing the likes of Man United and Liverpool five years ago, and now they're having to play the likes of Dale.

The other key fixtures will be the games against Oldham Athletic, as we take on the Latics in League fixtures for the first time since February 1974.

That said, there's bound to be a chance of some disappointment. We've previously reported about the long distances we'll be having to travel during this next season, with pretty much half of our away games being in excess of 200 miles. That leaves real potential for something of an anti climax as expectations get dragged down to earth by reality.

As always, your best place of finding out about the fixtures will be the OS and this site's messageboard.
