Keane Could Make Changes For Reading

Boss Roy Keane says he is considering making changes to his side for Tuesday’s game at Reading (KO 8pm) with a number of unnamed players suffering from knocks from the weekend draw at Scunthorpe.

Keane says he will decide which of those players are fit to play and whether to make any other changes in the next couple of days: “One or two of the boys picked up knocks over the weekend. They were in this morning, we’re in again tomorrow morning before we travel down and we’ll make a decision then on the boys who’ve got knocks. We’ll play it by ear over the next few hours.

“We’ve got good options if I decide to make changes, lads coming back and lads who were on the bench the other day.”

Lefd-back Shane O’Connor is back in training after his hamstring injury, while midfielder Luciano Civelli will be involved in a reserves friendly next week as he continues his recovery from his multi-ligament knee injury. Alan Quinn remains the only player sidelined long-term with his groin problem.

Keane is continuing to look for two more loan signings but expects nothing to happen this week: “There are no developments whatsoever.”
