Refwatch: Rochdale v Portsmouth Saturday, 19th Sep 2020 16:00 by TVOS County Durham referee David Webb is the man in the middle for Dale’s home game versus Portsmouth on Sunday. Webb replaces Michael Salisbury, who has had to withdraw from the game with a hamstring injury. David has been a regular at our games since joining the National List in 2008 and this will be his 16th Dale appointment in total. However, we haven’t seen him since April 2018 when he was in charge of the 4-1 home defeat to Wigan Athletic. Mr Webb’s dearth of recent Dale games has come about due to his promotion to the Select Group 2 list of match officials, meaning he mainly referees in the Championship. Other notable Dale matches overseen by David are the 2-0 FA Cup win at Barrow in January 2017 and the excellent 2-2 home draw with Brighton in April 2011.
