View from the opposition - Chester

Thanks to Andy at Chester for supplying the answers to the latest lot of questions that we sent out on how our League Two rivals see things this time round.

How was last season for you?
Last season started off very brightly and we even had a chance to go top of the league in October but we drew with Hereford 1-1.  Despite a frustratingly run of only 2 wins in the last 26 games our early season magnificence gave us enough points to stay up... just!  Overall it was a long season with another manager biting the bullet

Has your club's Summer activities lived up to expectations?

Chester have bought in a number of players this summer, mostly young, but we have signed a French lad Damian Mozika which is exciting for us especially if he lives up to his own standards he has set pre-season.  Off the field has also been promising for Chester with the opening of a new club shop in a prime location in the City Centre.
Where do you think you will finish next season and why?
I would be happy for Chester to finish 22nd this season and have a season of consolidation, realistically I think we will stay up maybe finishing 19th.  We have a very young squad with our club captain (Paul Linwood) only 24 and at the moment we're also a small team and a team that is not physically strong but I do believe there are worse squads out there than us.
Where do you think Dale will finish next season and why?
Rochdale to me have a chance of of automatic promotion if the run from the back end of last year can be repeated.  As we all know this is not always the case and I will go for 'Dale to finish about 9th with a chance of the play-offs
