Brighton One Win From Promotion !
Ok not mathematically yet, but fact is I feel that 86 will be enough for automatci promotion.
Brighton once again went and did what they do best and that is remaining tight at the back and making the most of their chances, many Saints fans have been a little scathing of this, but truth is its because they are doing everything that we should have been doing, are capable of doing and to be blunt arent doing.
When I have moaned about individual defensive errors on this site I have been lambasted and told what a great defensive record we have and how many clean sheets we have kept, but the fact is we have given away too many goals and at vital times as well.
Take last week at Charlton for instance, could you see brighton getting caught out by that sucker punch with four minutes to go, the stark answer is no, Brighton are methoical and tight, their play might not be as spectacular as Saints but their players dont make as many mistakes as ours.
Its not sour grapes, I truly wish Brighton all the best for their promotion, lord knows their fans deserve it after the tough times they have had over the past 15 years with regard to their ground problems, but I really look at our side and think we should have been matching them point for point.
Hopefully we will secure automatic promotion alongside them, but if we do we have done it the hard way with a defence and goalkeeper who have constantly let in soft goals and sadly a manager who hasnt dealt with the problem for whatever reason.
Again as i said some will call me a moaner, but the fact is we are sat where we are sat and brighton are on the verge of being promoted because they have been methodical.
