Refwatch Preview: Chesterfield (h)
Darren Drysdale will referee Dale for the third time in 2011 when he takes charge at Spotland against Chesterfield on Tuesday night.
The Lincolnshire-based official refereed Dale’s 1-1 draw at Tranmere at the start of February and was then in the middle for our 1-0 home defeat by Brentford in April.
Mr Drysdale, who is in the RAF, is in his seventh season on the referees’ list and on Tuesday is taking charge of Dale for the ninth time.
We first saw him at Spotland in October 2004 for a 3-0 win over Macclesfield, while in November 2006 he was in the middle for bury’s 3-1 win at Spotland, with Darren awarding The Shakers two penalties and sending-off Jon Boardman.
The full list of Darren’s Dale games is as follows:
30 Oct 2004 Rochdale v Macclesfield Won 3-0
7 Oct 2005 Chester v Rochdale Won 3-2
4 Nov 2006 Rochdale v Bury Lost 1-3
