Saints Get 6,000 For The Palace
Saints have recieved their biggest away allocation of the season for their trip to Crystal Palace on Easter Monday.
Saints are receiving an initial 3,210 tickets for the trip to Crystal Palace on Easter Monday although this can rise to 5,817 if needed and all signs point to the fact that it will be given that we took over 2,500 for the Carling Cup tie earlier in the season.
It will be interesting to see if we can actually get more than that, at the cup game the Arthur Waite stand which Saints famously filled with 9,000 fans back in the great escape season of 1999, was empty apart from Saints fans so it will be interesting to see if Palace leave it for away fans only for this league game, and that being the case, whether they will then give Saints more tickets and make a few bob for themselves.
Perhaps the only mistake Saints have made on this, is that sales to season ticket holders start on Wednesday 21st March at 9am, the day after our long trip to Hull City, meaning that many of our hardcore away supporters will have to get home in the middle of the night and then get up early to buy tickets for this clash, indeed some may have chosen to stay up at Hull and will have to battle on the phone lines instead.
