Whaley the Daley
Dale boss Keith Hill has once again added to the ranks with the capture of former Bury and Preston midfielder Simon Whaley.
Simon Whaley comes to Spotland having been a
regular at Championship and League One levels for the past few seasons
in what was something of a surprising transfer for the Bolton born
midfielder to drop down to this level.
It's only been a couple of months or so since the former Bury player
joined Norwich City, and he started all of their early season matches,
but a change of manager saw him frozen out of the first team, and he
subsequently comes to Spotland in search of first team football.
He has over two hundred appearances to his name,
after a career which has seen play for the likes of Preston, Barnsley,
Norwich and Bury with whom he started his career.
Whaley will be given the number 14 shirt.
