Michael At The Reddy
Michael At The Reddy?
Despite signing for Sunderland back in 1999, Reddy has played in just 12 games for the Stadium of Light team and has been loaned out of the North East on six separate occasions.
Last season he spent three months on loan at Sheffield Wednesday where he found the net twice in seventeen appearances and the Hillsborough side were interested in taking him on a permanent deal.
His ten appearances for Sunderland as a sub all came in the Premier league whilst his only goal at that level came against Middlesborough back in 1999.
Last season he scored a consolation Wednesday goal in a 3-1 defeat by Plymouth Argyle plus the only goal of the game when the Owls beat another of his former clubs Barnsley in the LDV Vans Trophy.
It is not expected that Swansea will be the only club interested in securing the services of the Irishman - as well as Wednesday both Northampton and Hull have shown interest in him in the past.
At the age of just 24 Reddy has plenty of his career up ahead of him and I have to say that the addition of him to the squad will, I think, prove to be a valuable one as the Swans look to take some of the goalscoring burden away from the likes of Trundle and Connor.
Whether Jackett gets his man or not remains to be seen.
