Schneiderlin Arsenal Bound
Newly-signed Southampton recruit Morgan Schneiderlin will ‘gain experience’ with the Championship club before joining Arsenal in a ‘few seasons’ time according to Strasbourg’s supporters club.
Saints new signing is on a fast track for a move to the Emirates stadium if the latest rumours are to be believed, an Arsenal website citing Strasbourg's supporters club as its source is claiming that St Mary's is only a short stepping stone for the french youngster while he gets a mental & physical toughness.
It all sounds a bit suspect in that Arsenal have never been shy of signing promising youngsters and giving them the neccessaries themselves, in short they dont need to ask someone else to do their dirty work for them.
It would also be silly of the London giants to pay top dollar for him in a year or two when they could have easily signed him for peanuts now and then lent him out to another side.
For Saints part it looks good business, if Schneiderlin establishes himself in the first team then his value could soar, whilst some would then moan about the club selling all its best talent, surely its better to discover youngsters, nurture them and sell them on than not find any at all.
Saints supporter will wait with interest to see their new signing, they have seen false hopes on youngsters before and know that for every Gareth Bale or Theo Walcott there are 10 others that fall by the wayside.
