Saganowski Missing ?
Saints Polish striker Marek Saganowski seems to be conspicuos by his absence.
After his involvement with Poland in Euro 2008, it was expected that Marek Saganowski would be late back to training and rested, but with the season only days away the striker has barely played a game pre season.
In fact his only run out in a first team friendly was 45 minutes against Hereford with cameos in several reserve team friendlies his only other games.
Speculation has mounted today that Saganowski might be surplus to requirements at St Mary's when firstly he was not pictured in the first team squad picture published in the Daily Echo with the excuse given that he had been held up in traffic and then the fact that he hasn't been included in a 22 man squad to face Stoke City.
This all points to the fact that Jan Poortvliet might not be including him in his plans for the season, also missing from the squad for the visit of the Potters is Jason Euell amid rumours of frank meeting's between Poortvliet and several senior players last Friday when the Dutchman alledgedly revealed that some had no future at the Club.
The next week or so could be very interesting as the closure of the transfer window looms and a flurry of deals in both directions could be the order of the day.
