Swans Want To Seal Permanent Dyer Switch

He may have only been here a few weeks but the Swans are already looking to seal a permanent move for Nathan Dyer

Dyer scored his first Swansea City goal in the FA Cup win at Portsmouth - following on from a hugely impressive home debut against Reading seven days earlier.

And he will look to continue that form this evening as the Swans return to league action with a home game against Preston - the first of three league games in the next seven days - away trips to Southampton and QPR follow.

And the early displays of Dyer are enough to make the Swans keen to push through a permanent deal for the Southampton man.

Speaking to the Evening Post, Roberto said "We would like to keep Nathan permanently

"But it's not down to us. Any deal depends on the parent club and the player's wishes.

"We spoke to Southampton when Nathan joined us on loan about a permanent deal, but we'll have to wait and see. At the moment he is definitely with us until the end of the season so there is no pressure to do anything in this window.

"In football, as in life, there are always bigger fish. You cannot worry about someone else coming in because if you do you won't do anything.

"My biggest concern at the moment is making sure Nathan enjoys his football. He has had a frustrating time in certain squads, but he can see he can realise his Premier League potential with Swansea City.

"That is important because the player's opinion is crucial."
