Swans Close In On New Deals
Swansea City are closing on new deals for several players as their close season work continues
Swansea City Chairman Huw Jenkins has told the Evening Post that they hope to be shortly in a position to confirm new deals for Andrea Orlandi and Jazz Richards whilst contract talks are also taking place with Shaun MacDonald, Fede Bessone and Albert Serran.
Jenkins told the paper "We have offered Andrea a contract and we are waiting for a response
"Jazz has already received a contract offer, which is almost agreed, while Shaun will have an offer on the table soon when we speak to his agent this week. We are also hoping to meet with Fede and Albert's agents this week.
"Despite looking at trimming the squad, we realise that getting our squad settled is very important.
"While we have had to look at reducing the playing staff, it was vital that we secured the futures of individuals who we feel will play a big part in our plans next season."
The club have already confirmed that five players - including Guillem Bauza and Marcos Painter - have left the club.
