No Trains To Oldham
For those planning on going to Oldham by train there is a problem.
Usually getting to Oldham by train from Manchester is simple, however at the start of this month the railway link from the City Centre out to Oldham has been closed for a considerable length of time as they build the next high speed tram link.
Saints fans arriving at manchester by train have several option though, the first would be bus, but although Oldham is only around 8 miles from Manchester City Centre it could be time consuming.
The second is a taxi, cost effective if there is five of you but expensive if less.
The thirsd option is to take a train from Manchester Victoria and alight at Mills Hill, trains depart every 1/2 hour at around 10 past and 20 to the hour and its around a ten minute journey time.
The Station is on Oldham Road and it should be possible to get a bus to near Boundary Park from here, otherwise its a 1.9 mile walk, in truth only about half a mile more than the usual nearest station Oldham Werneth.
