Garry Monk says that losing Joe Allen through suspension next week is a big blow for the Swans
Monk watched on as Allen picked up two needless yellow cards in Saturday's 4-2 defeat at Blackburn and he will now sit out the home game with Fulham next Saturday.
Monk said after the game "I didn't realise Joe was on a yellow card, but maybe at that point you have to let the player go past you. He will learn from that
"It's difficult because in your mind you want to stop him. You are treading a fine line when you are on a yellow card.
"He's been brilliant for us this season and it will be a big blow to lose him for one game. He's been one of our best players this season."
Monk also praised subs Wayne Routledge and Luke Moore who came on in the second half and he said
"Wayne and Luke were excellent," added Monk. "I said 'well done' to Wayne because he played very well.
"We have quality in abundance. That's why I said I am confident the results will come, I'm not just saying that."
