Lallana Heading For Norwich Game Return

Adam Lallana is set to recover from his clash of heads with QPR's Clint Hill and be fit for the trip to Carrow Road.

Adam Lallana was a major doubt for Saints for the trip to East Anglia after a clash of heads left him dazed and confused and concussed, however its looking like he has recovered from that and is available for selection on Saturday.

The dilemma for Mauricio Pochettino though is whether there is room for Lallana in the starting XI, certainly there doesnt seem to be a place for both Lallana and Ramirez when we are away from home and especially in a game like Norwich where we need to start getting it right defensively if we are to get at least a point and hopefully more.

MoPo is likely to pick a side more comfortable with working hard and getting behind the ball, this will probably mean that Ramirex will be sacrificed and Steve Davis will return in the centre of midfield.

But the problem is still there out wide, our left hand side has been an are many teams have exploited on the road, some like to blame Danny Fox, but to be blunt we still concede goals down that wing when he is not playing and Luke Shaw is, so the real core of the problem isnt the left back, but who plays in front of him, Lallana seems to be the only candidate to do so at present and that being the case and the need to work hard in the centre of the park means that probably Lallana will keep his place on Saturday, although I feel that in the Premier and what is demanded from a wide player, especially in the formation we are now playing, he is not suited to that role, but instead would be far better just tucked in behind the forwards in the rold that Ramirez usually occupies when starting.
