Saints V Brentford The Preview
Just what line up will Alan Pardew put out.
It would be a brave man who would put money on which team Alan Pardew will put out against Brentford, perhaps the only certainty to play amongst those cup tied, injured or suspended for the last two games will be Jose Fonte, but its an open book on who will partner him, and indeed the whole of the back four might have a different look.
However that would be a bit harsh and simiarly in midfield, several players are making their cases to stay in the side.
Up front of course its Rickie Lambert but will he be ploughing a lone furrow or be partnered by Lee Barnard.
But the real issue is Saints winning the game, they are at the point that they simply cannot afford to lose any more points and ground on the play off spots, they have to go out and do as some of the other promotion hopefuls have done and put in a five match winning streak, then and only then will they truly be back in with a shout with a play off spot.
Frankly anything else than seven points in our next three games will be a disaster and in truth nine are needed, the last six games have seen us pick up 10 points, but although that doesnt sound too bad in that the target is 12 from those six games, these games have seen us drop 13 points behind the top six and that is a lot more than we can afford to be, we have to get back on track and do it quickly aand this is as good a game to start as any.
