Refwatch Preview: Gillingham (h)
Mark Haywood will make the relatively short trip across the M62 from Wakefield to take charge of Dale’s home game against Gillingham on Tuesday.
We last saw him 12 months ago for the heartbreaking 3-3 home draw with Walsall, while earlier last season he refereed Dale’s 3-1 home loss to Hartlepool.
Mark was also in charge of the magnificent 2-0 midweek win over Southampton in April 2011.
Tuesday will be Mr Haywood’s 11th Dale game at league level, while he also refereed the Rose Bowl Challenge match against Oldham in July 2007.

Mark has had a busy campaign and on Saturday he refereed his 31st game of the season at Blackpool v Peterborough, which was also his 16th appointment at Championship level.
His previous 30 games yielded 75 yellow cards and two red.
