Supporters Summit To Be Held At Wembley Stadium

Supporters Direct and the Football Supporters’ Federation will host the joint Annual Supporters Summit in London at Wembley Stadium, on 26th July 2014.

The event brings fans together from across the U.K and Europe from all clubs and supporter organisations to debate the issues at the heart of the game.

Last year’s Supporters Summit, held at St. George’s Park, included debates on Governance, Ownership, Transparency, Ticket Pricing, Discrimination and Safe Standing.

The full programme for the Supporters Summit 2014 is currently being finalised and will again include high profile figures from football, sport, media and politics.

The AGM’s of both organisations will be held the evening of Friday 25th July, Wembley Stadium.

Opening Session: Fixing Football

The opening session has has now been finalised. The full details are below;

Fixing Football

Football is full of campaigns. Whether it’s national ones like No to League Three, Save Grassroots Football, Twenty’s Plenty; or locally with No Hull To Tigers, Cardiff City’s Back to Blue, Coventry’s Back to the Ricoh, fans and activists are trying to find ways not just to stop the drift, but to answer some of the big questions in the game.

This session will bring together speakers on a number of campaigns, and will involve delegates in deciding what the really important issues are for our future campaigns as supporters.

The session will be introduced by Robin Osterley (CEO of Supporters Direct), with a facilitator (TBC) to guide the discussion.

The timings for the sessions have changed slightly so please visit the agenda page for the updated timetable.
