Saints Again Linked With Danny Ings

The arrival of December brings us within touching distance of the January Transfer Window and means that speculation is now rife.

Saints will possibly have the biggest spending power in the Premier League this January transfer window should they choose to use it, a rough estimate is that they still have around £20 million of the incoming fees from the summer not to mention any money from normal Premier league earnings that would usually be earmarked.

The latest player to be linked is Burnley's Danny Ings who was with Saints as a schoolboy before joining Bournemouth, Ings was linked with Saints in the summer but was told he was not for sale, but Burnley are now caught in a quandary in that he will only have a year left on his contract at the end of the season but on the other hand they need his goals to keep them in the Premier League.
