Liverpool Man Linked

It had to happen andnd it didn't take long at all for that to come true. Almost as soon as Fabio Borini's agent admitted that he may need to leave Liverpool then he was linked with a move to Swansea having spent time here on loan back in 2011.

Of course we were not alone as he was also linked with a move to Sunderland where he spent a season on loan in 2013/14 but it does seem that Borini will be on the move again

Borini was part of the side that won us promotion to the Premier League in 2011 having been bought in by Brendan Rodgers to bolster his attack in the final push for the play offs and it worked perfectly as we went through the play offs to win promotion to this level.

The Swans could though not secure his services on a permanent basis and, after a year in Italy, he came back to this country to link up again with Rodgers at Anfield.

It has not though worked out for Borini at Anfield as he would have hoped and despite appearances for the club - many as substitute - he is now looking to be on his way as he wants more regular first team football.

"Fabio wants a new experience. There are teams from all over Europe interested in him," said Marco De Marchi, the player's agent.

Borini last year turned down moves to both Sunderland (who agreed a fee) and QPR and I am not sure I can see him moving anywhere in this country and certainly not to us anyway
