Wanyama Joins Up With Kenyan Squad

Victor Wanyama has joined up with the Kenyan squad according to Sky Sports, good news for Saints fans, bad news for Spurs.

Victor Wanyama has joined up with the Kenyan squad meaning that he would not e able to undergo a medical and sign forms if he was going to join Tottenham Hotspur, even Surs would not be foolish enough to sign a player without a medical, which could void any insurance on the player if an injury was to crop up at a later date.

Wanyama is being reported as saying that he wanted away from Saints after his house was burgled and that he no longer feels safe in the area.

This would have some credence if it wasn't for the fact that the burglary which happened when he was playing for Saints at Aston Villa took place last November, almost 10 months ago and that the Kenyan lives in Winchester.

Certainly a move to North London would not be as safe as the capital of Wessex.

So it looks like Wanyama has accepted that Saints will not let him move to Spurs, at least not in this transfer window, the deal had a funny smell to it anyway, earlier in the summer Tottenham were being accepted as having relatively little money to spend due to the cost of building a new stadium nect to White Hart Lane, yer suddenly only days before the transfer window is due to close they are being linked with big money moves for players.

The question is were Spurs truly serious about signing Wanyama or where they just trying to placate their supporters by making out they had money when in reality they knew they had no hope of completing a transfer in such short time.

Also it is possible that Spurs were panicking after a poor start to the season which if it continues could see a new manager in by Xmas if history is anything to go by.
