Injury News Ahead Of Swansea City Game
Ronald Koeman has confirmed the latest on the injuries in the squad before the game against the welsh team on Saturday.
The good news is that Graziano Pelle looks set to be fit, the Italian was rested at MK Dons due to a foot injury, but that was more of a precaution than a necessity and the striker is likely to be fit and raring to go on Saturday.
Likewise Ryan Bertrand, the Manager confirmed that he had come through the MK Dons game Ok and would be involved on Saturday, but that he doesnt know the extent of that involvement yet and that would be decided.
"Very pleased that Ryan is back. We know that he is not 100 per cent because he didn’t have a normal pre-season but he needs game time.
"The final decision is up to the manager if he will start on Saturday or if he is coming in on the game.”
One player who will be missing though is Jordie Clasie who has returned to full training but needs a bit more of that before he is match fit.
"Jordy is doing normal training with the rest of the players,” reported Koeman.
"He’s not available for the weekend, that’s too fast.
"I have good hope he can be part of the squad for the next weekend but it is depending how he develops next week.”
So all good news from the Saints boss who must be pleased that he is now getting near to having a full & fully fit squad to chose from and that can only be good.
