Bid For A Unique Game Worn Saints Shirt

Premier League football club Southampton had the logo of the charity, Breast Cancer Now, on its player’s shirts for the home game against Leicester City on Saturday October 17. Now you could own one of those shirts.

Three of those shirts are now part of a special auction that is live now on
the CharityStars website. The shirts of José Fonte, who captained the team
and scored in the game, Steven Davis and Cédric Soares were all worn during
the game, which ended 2-2. Each shirt features the charity’s logo.

The shirts have been signed by the players, and in addition a special Nike
Premier League Football is being auctioned. Although not used in the game,
it has Veho and Breast Cancer Now logos and has been signed by the
Southampton team.

Each shirt and the football come with certificates of authenticity. Money
raised will go to Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity
dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease.

The auction has been made possible by Southampton’s shirt sponsor, Veho, who
are supporting Breast Cancer Now for a third year. Veho has committed to
donate a minimum of £25,000 this year to Breast Cancer Now through the sales
of their Pebble Powerstick, and hopes this auction will raise further funds
too.

Steven Lewis, CEO & founder of Veho said: "Like many others, close family
members of mine have been affected by cancer and Breast Cancer Now is a
charity close to my heart. I wanted Veho to play a small part in raising
awareness and funds for a worthy charity that believes if we all act now, by
2050; no one will die from Breast Cancer.”

Ralph Krueger, chairman of Southampton Football Club, said: "Southampton
Football Club is delighted to help support a charity that is so close to the
heart of our main sponsor, Veho.

"As a club that prides itself on its values and principles, it gives us
great pride to be able to act as the vehicle to help raise awareness for
such a worthwhile charity and to take Breast Cancer Now’s message to a
global audience.”

Breast Cancer Now’s world class research is focused entirely on breast
cancer. The charity’s ambition is that by 2050, everyone who develops breast
cancer will live.

This auction continues the relationship established between Southampton FC
and the auction site CharityStars. More Southampton FC items will be
auctioned on the CharityStars website in future, so keep looking on the
website for the latest.
