Mirror now claims Massimo altered tactics at QPR

Another damning story has appeared in the Mirror today concerning our beleaguered club. Now it is being claimed Massimo Cellino barged into the dressing-room at half-time last week and demanded a switch from 4-4-2 to a "diamond formation".

Cellino was a surprise attendee at Loftus Road last week and cut a bizarre sight huddled beneath a QPR fleece blanket. Our old friends at the Mirror claim Cellino, enraged by our feeble showing against the R's stormed into the half-time team talk and demanded Steve Evans change tactics. Leeds went on to lose the game and Cellino is quoted as saying "so what, we lost anyway".

This follows on the heels of another Mirror story claiming that our entire first-team squad will be put up for sale in January and Leeds have been canvassing rival clubs over their availability. The Mirror has a history of being notoriously anti-Leeds going right back to the halcyon days of Don Revie.

Evans furiously rubbished the transfer story in his pre-match press-conference ahead of today's clash against Hull City Tigers. It will be interesting to hear his views on the tactics story and presumably this will be raised post-match.

In all honesty nothing surprises most regulars at Elland Road anymore. I wouldn't put it past Cellino to saunter in to the dressing-room and offer his opinions or instructions. Whether or not he intends to attend today's game or not remains to be seen. He briefly visited Thorp Arch on Monday whilst a training-match against Crewe Alexander was taking place.

Even if he doesn't attend, his ears will surely be burning with fans planning further protests against him. The much-publicised "pie tax" whereby a £5 surcharge has been added to South Stand tickets to include a food and drink voucher, has enraged fans who plan to stage a mass walk-out on the 17th minute of today's game.

Evans has pleaded for unity and claimed the protest will harm his struggling team, who sunk to 17th following the defeat at Rangers. Even he is coming under increasing fire from the terraces over his team-selections and tactics of late. If he isn't already wondering what he'd got himself in for then surely he'll be contemplating how long it is before he's another casualty beneath Cellino's axe.

Southampton V Leicester City The Verdict
It was 4 in a row for Tonda Eckert & his Saints side, another polished performance that pushed us up to 11th but more importantly to the fringes of the play off spots, posing the question how a team and it's players who were so poor just 3 weeks or so ago can be so different now.
