Saints Losing Chase For One Striker Could Open The Door For Another !
Saints look set to lose out in their pursuit of one striker, but that could open the door for them to sign another of their alleged targets.
It seems likely that Simone Zaza of Juventus could be about to join Wolfsburg after reportably being in Germany to discuss terms over the weekend.
Saints of course have been linked with Zaza during the summer, but it looks like they will miss out on the Italian striker.
However if Zaza does join Wolfsburg then it will be likely that Das Bost will be leaving the club and he is another that has been linked with Saints.
Bost scored 16 goals in 21 appearances in 2014/15 and followed that up with 8 in 22 last term and although that was a reasonable goals to game ratio, Wolfsburg have been looking to make changes.
Bost has been quoted as considering Saints a nice club to go to, but there will be competition for his signature with Espanyol, Real Betis, Sevilla and Sporting Lisbon also being linked according to the German press.
At 6ft 5 inches Bost would be a direct replacement for Graziano Pelle and would seem to be a traditional style target man, something Saints appear to lack.
